Went from intern to leading 5 engineers at Nannie.ai in about a year. The surprising part wasn't the technical decisions — it was realizing most of the job is making sure people aren't blocked on each other. Wrote down our engineering standards early mostly so I wouldn't have to repeat myself in every PR review.
